Math Tutoring Services
weekly tutoring - in person or remote
Weekly sessions are offered for courses in Pre-Algebra, Algebra I and II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus and Calculus at all levels.
test preparation
Test preparation is offered for the math portions of SSAT, SAT and ACT as well as all MTEL teacher certification exams. Tutoring sessions range from 60 - 90 minutes, once or twice a week. After an intial evaluation, a lesson plan will be provided with content and timeframe recommendations. It is recommended that tutoring for test preparation be scheduled well in advance to provide sufficient time for review. Please note that test preparation includes assigned practice work between lessons.

New methods based on learning styles to improve areas of difficulty

Reinforcement of basic pre-Algebra skills
Standardized test preparation when applicable to current material

Students are expected to complete their school math homework before each tutoring session and arrive prepared with:
Class notes, work, homework & recent tests
Charged laptops or iPad with charger
Textbook or login for digital textbook
Current homework completed when possible
Apps and modules already downloaded
Tutor Acknowledgement
Parents will receive weekly LESSON LOG file to track payments and student’s progress.
All conversations regarding a student, whether via phone, digital communication or in person, will remain confidential.
Correspondence with a student’s teacher via email must be initiated and approved by a parent. Content of conversation is limited to class curriculum and suggestions for student practice.
There is no guarantee that tutoring will improve school grades, standardized test scores or school acceptances.
